Working Together as One
People need the Lord. We may know of our need of God, but how about those who do not know Jesus
yet? As God’s people, we have a work to do. Inspiration states, “Had the church of Christ done her
appointed work as the Lord ordained, the whole world would before this have been warned and
the Lord Jesus would have come to our earth in power and great glory.” (Desire of Ages, p633-634)
Friends, we must become united to do the work that the Lord has ordained. IONA Missions is dedicated to the work of spreading the gospel through discipleship—by teaching others to study the Bible deeper, training individuals, and equipping churches to establish a program of fruitful evangelism.
As you may have experienced the power of the Word of God as preached or taught by IONA Missions, others in the world are thirsty for a similar experience of a deeper understanding of Truth. Individuals who take hold of the Word of God can then teach others and train them, and thus perpetuate a cycle of discipleship. The cycle can continue and grow only as our momentum pushes forward by the leading of the Holy Spirit. We envision IONA Bible Schools to multiply and grow to locations in many parts of the world.
